They say it's your...

...birthday!

I'm signing off early this week to begin my 30th birthday celebration.

It's going to be 11-11-11 tomorrow and it also marks the day that I've spent 30 years on this earth.  I've got lots to celebrate and lots to be thankful for.  Too much to ever put into words.

I plan on consuming too many bottles of champagne, too much food and too many sweets.  And I plan on enjoying every, single second of it.

They say 11-11-11 is a lucky day and well, since it's my birthday I happen to think it's extra lucky.  I hope in between all the bottles of champagne I remember to go buy a lottery ticket.

So I'm off to party like a rock star for the next 4 days.  If I'm not here on Monday it's because my body is reminding me I am indeed 30 and I shouldn't be drinking like I was 21.

Beauty & Essex

I never thought I could love commercial design quite as much as I love residential, that is till I went to Beauty & Essex on the Lower East Side this past weekend with a bunch of my friends for my besties 30th birthday.

AvroKO is the design firm behind the design, and after looking at their website they have done a few fun projects.  But, back to the point- this restaurant is not only a current hot spot in NYC, they have amazing food and a really great atmosphere.

You walk into this pawn shop store front and wonder if you are in the right place, only to find a happening restaurant/bar behind the door in the back of the shop.
always trying to be the "cool place" in NYC, this idea was different to me

This massive chandelier is right behind the pawn shop door

less words, more pictures- they speak for themselves...

holy custom couch- this thing was massive!

The service was great and the food was even better- if you are in the area be sure to check place out!

Oh, how could I forget- THERE IS CHAMPAGNE IN THE BATHROOMS.  Yes, you read that right- pink champagne to be more specific and it was AWESOME!

8,760 to go...

...till my 20's are over.  And that's 8,760 hours BTW.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of the last year being a 20-something.

You better believe for the next 365 days, 8,760 hours and 525,600 minuets are going to be spent wisely.

Meaning I'll be saving every penny I can in that FFF fund (read here to see what FFF is)

So let the celebration begin!

I give you permission to celebrate my birthday too... go treat yourself in my honor :)

Happy 2nd Birthday!

I almost forgot that today was my blogs 2nd birthday!

I can't believe its been 2 years.  That equals: 587 posts, 593 wonderful followers, and about 1,569,456 hours of getting posts ready, photo taking, crafting, project starting and finishing, commenting and so much more!

My blog has come so far and I can't wait to see where else it goes in the future.  More importantly I can't wait to see where this blog takes ME in the future.  More projects, more DIY, maybe even a new career?  Who knows, all I know is that I'm along for the ride and I've loved every minute so far.

Of course I can't talk about my 2nd blog birthday and not mention all of you!  My amazing readers, commenters, stalkers, friends, family etc., this would be nothing without all of you so THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all that you do!

Taking a little trip down memory lane, here are a few of my favorite and most popular posts from the last two years.

Thank you everyone for making this blog what it is today!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Everything LEB!

New Toys!

Hello all- I'd like to thank you all for so many wonderful birthday wishes! it was so nice to come home after a great day of shopping to see such sweet notes!! You are all wonderful and I'm so lucky to have made such great blog friends, so thank you again.

I had a wonderful day, the BF spoiled me as usual- he really is the best BF ever!! I guess he does read my blog because I got this yesterday:

I cried I was so happy- I've wanted this for a long time and never thought I would have one of my own. I LOVE it!!

Now comes the hard part, learning how to use the friggin thing. There are about 100 million buttons and each one does something different, its going to take some getting used to. I also have like 4 different lenses on my wish list now, not sure what they all do but I read that they were cool. I just see the $$$ adding up haha.

So does anyone have any great words of advice, blog sites, Q&A's I should be reading online today?? I would LOVE to hear them.

A little R&R

Today marks my 28th birthday.

I wanted to spend the day at the dermatologist getting pumped full of toxins to erase a few years, as I fully intend to age gracefully with needles and knives. But since the economy is in the crapper I figured I would wait. Instead I'm opening a new savings account. It's the "Future Face Fund" or FFF as I will call it (FFF can also stand for three choice words in a row, I like that meaning too).

So I'm taking the day off to rest a bit. And by rest I mean I'm dragging the BF around with me shopping all day.

I'll be back tomorrow...don't get it too much trouble without me, I hate being left out in all the fun!!

She's Back

Had a fabulous weekend in NYC with the girlfriends...took one picture the whole trip, yes I know very sad but I just forgot...oops. But, this about sums up the weekend:

- Train was about 3 hours late getting in on Friday night due to a fatality in Mansfield- someone got hit by the train, very sad.

- Got in Penn Station right as a concert was getting out, and sat in my "rolling club cab" till traffic let up. What I mean by "rolling club cab" is that when I got in the cab the cabbie was blasting Janet Jackson and dancing/wiggling in the front seat. He wanted me to join in, till he realized I was not in the mood to dance after being on an almost 6 hour train ride, but he continued himself until our final destination.

- Laughed about the whole situation with my girls, and drank many bottles of wine till about 3:30am when we decided to head to bed.

- Saturday it rained all day, made it to one store on my list and bought nothing, so sad. BUT, discovered Gracious Home, and informed my friends that this was the place I wanted to die- for real. Best.place.ever.

- Saturday night had a wonderful dinner with the girls, drank alot, ended up at a college bar and felt like 4 old ladies. Didn't really realize where we were till we looked up and saw hundreds and hundreds of signed bras...yes bras, hanging from the ceiling. Quickly finished our drinks while dying of laughter and got the heck outta there.

- Sunday was better weather, hit up the West Side flea market which was fun and then headed to brunch. Ordered my eggs, and asked for a bloody mary to go along with it, only to be told that they only serve virgin bloody marys till noon. I quickly answered, umm what, virgin... I don't think I heard you right, make mine a double please. Yea, well I lost that battle- didn't end up with my bloody as I hoped.

- I got a ride home (yea I'm done with the train for awhile) with my two NH besties, laughed the whole way, and ended the weekend on a high note.

- OMG, I almost forgot- for my birthday the girls bought tickets to Dirty Dancing. YES, I will be seeing Baby on stage in February...another girls weekend planned at my house this time- wooohoooo, so friggin excited!

I Wish For...

I'm totally lacking creativity right now, so I'm just going to post my (out of control) dream wish list for my birthday next week

YSL Muse Bag

a Mini Cooper (so cute)

Rolex Oyster

Cole Haan Shoes (many pairs, they are really comfortable for city walking)
Van Cleef bracelet

Louis Vuitton wallet

Yes I do know that most of these things are not going to happen, but that's why its called a wish list...a girl can dream can't she- so I might as well dream big!
