Weekend recap

I'm snowed in. 
Well actually today I got out, so I'm not technically snowed in anymore. But this is the view from the end of my driveway yesterday.

 

Yup, that's a wall of about 12 feet of snow.  Even the plow man said he could not tackle.  Needless to say I was a little stir crazy all weekend.

And this was one of the short piles that I could actually get close to.

 

Being stuck inside for 3 days makes you do crazy things. Like bake for the first time in years and drink copious amounts of this pink bubbly stuff I had.

 

 

I'm so excited to be back in the real world today! 

 

Nemo, I loved you on Friday when I could work from home but today I want you to take your snow and go away. kthanksbyebye.

 

 

cozy time

There is nothing I want more than to curl up by one of these and catch up on all the magazines and books I have stacked up to read.  While its January 12th and we have yet to get snow this winter- this rain is nasty!

Rain, rain go away come again some other day!

Oh and while I'm on my dream trip,  I'm dreaming of being curled up with one of these

My eyes are glued to the TV today.  Every time I see this joyous scene I can't help but tear up.

What a wonderful day for these families.

A Casual Day

Some days I wish I had a beautuful lawn out back

So I could lounge around and play a few rounds of croquet with friends

Then move over to the patio area for a BBQ and some cocktails

Yea, that would be a really nice day.

I've been up to my eyeballs in HTML this and HTML that- making a few changes to the blog...hopefully it will be all gussied up soon.

So this woman quit last week...



...as of 2011...

...and is taking over the Discovery Health channel with her own network.

Which means that this little hottie



could be coming into our homes on a daily basis on this new network.


I'm just speculating, but I really, REALLY hope its true :)

Weekend Wine-O

I cant remember where I saw this first, but I had it saved to my computer and I think its great. I'm sending it to the BF right now so he knows for next time one of these situations comes up.

A Must See!

Since I've been hearing so much about Slumdog Millionaire, and it has been winning award after award, I thought it was time to go see it.

It's a definite must see! The little kids in this movie are awesome, the music is great, acting is fab, and its just a great story all around. It really makes you open your eyes to the world and gets you thinking.

Blogger Help Needed

Ok, this is going to sound really odd but I'm just going to post it anyways. My best friends Mom has these candles, they are from France and are made by Doux. Now, she cant remember where she bought them, which would be fine because usually I can find anything online BUT in this case I can not and its driving me nuts! Its driving me nuts because I love these candles, they smell like heaven!

So, I'm turning to the blog world...you all know everything! I figured maybe, hopefully someone out there will know where I can get these amazing smelling candles (to me at least)

PS- the only Doux products I can find online is soap, ugg I don't want soap I just want candles...

The Way I See It #21

So I rarely pay attention to the vessel that my morning drug fix, I mean Starbucks coffee, is served in. But today I noticed the quote on the side of the cup was a great one and I had to share.

So this morning I'm trying to be positive in spite of the sad news about Domino and I raise my grande, sugar free vanilla, soy, no foam, extra hot latte to Youssou!
