I fell in love with this kitchen from the new book Black and White
by Celerie Kemble. White kitchens seem to be all the rage these days and this one stuck out to me because of the the reclaimed wood island. I really love how by adding the wood on the island really grounds the space, makes it feel less institutional and more like home.

Just cover your island with a few reclaimed wood boards, switch out your hardware to brass, and install a new kitchen faucet and you have your own Celerie Kemble kitchen on a budget.
OK, this Gooseneck faucet from Waterworks is totally not budget friendly (ringing it at $2,000+ yikes!) , but I love it. A more budget friendly option would be this one from Faucetdirect.com at around $650.00.

The white color lends some airy feel to the room. Kitchen done entirely out of reclaimed wood can look dull.
