orange ya glad

So back when I posted this little blurb about dyeing lampshades I was a little skeptical if I could pull it off or not.  But I decided to give it a go.  Worst case scenario I would have to buy a new $9 lampshade from Target, but best case scenario it would work and I'd have a fun new lampshade.

OK, well its not as pretty as this professional orange lampshade- but I'm really happy with the results.

I'll share with you the results and a few tips and tricks for dyeing on Monday.

Happy weekend everyone!

i never even thought of dying a lampshade, does it look good when the light is on? I tried spray painting a lampshade once and it was a complete disaster. if any spot absorbed more paint it would show as a big dot as soon as the light was on.

I am so excited to see the results!

Awesome! Perfect timing, as I'm out of options for the shape/color of shade I need (read: impossible to get in Brazil)
Can't wait!

I can't wait to see it! I have two shades I've been thinking of covering with fabric but dyeing seems less painful (I don't trust myself with a glue gun.)
