Progress...

Thank you to everyone who commented on yesterdays office post- seriously you have no idea how much I appreciate it, you gals are the best!!

I have been putting together about a million of these this morning...lots of work that's for sure. But hey, anything to get this office put together finally!
Still lots more to do...but its progress :)

PS- hate the desk, hate hate hate it! But its in there, its heavy, the BF loves it and I guess it works for now. I'd rather spend money on pretty dragon fabric then a new desk anyway.

I missed your post yesterday but just saw it this morning and then you updated when I was searching.

Okay, this may not be at all what you are going for but (laugh at me if you desire) I saw this on Rachael Ray's talk show (both times haha) and thought I would post a link:

Sports themes are usually odd but some of the design elements, seeing as it's not over the top, can help inspire? Not sure if your guy is into it but it does show that a manly room can look good sports or not.

Just a thought. Have a great day.

LizO- I think my BF would die and go to heaven if he had an office like this- only problem is I would rather gauge out my eyeballs with a rusty knife (ok, that might be a bit over the top, but you get the point) than have ANYTHING Yankees in my house :)

I am a die hard Red Sox fan- if anything sports were to go in our house it would be Sox related haha.

Yes, I'm a big Red Sox fan dating a big Yankees fan...still not sure how we get along.

It's a bit dark for my tastes but just thought I would pass it along. :-)

LOVE the Schumacher Chiang Mai Dragon. I've been considering it for shades for my office myself. I say go for it! That gives you some punchier colors to work with too. Good luck!

Linds~ I LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOVE it. It's gonna be so great once it's all finished. Knock his socks off. Don't let him see it until the big reveal. Then he will have his "ah ha" moment and realize that you don't obsess over this stuff for nothing. Sometimes I wonder if anyone lives in those noggins of theirs! lol
xoxo
Time has been short - sorry for not commenting lately. Still reading though!!

BTW-Do you have a good source to get your Chang Mai?

Soooooo much better! :) He will love you when it's done (well, he obviously already loves you, but you know what I mean).

Okay, as to paint, I *think* I am going to do Truffle from BM Affinity paints (except I'm not paying that much for paint, so they said they could mix it in a cheaper paint), BUT I also want to check out Stony Creek and Dusty Trail from Olympic. And, then I swear I'm done trying paints (for those areas anyway). :) I have issues.

I missed your post yesterday and I'm so glad to hear that it worked. You get to redo the office, and I know its going to turn out to be sophisticated and masculine.

This is GREAT progress! Seriously - he is going to love the change. Maybe not the process of change, but the end product will totally be worth it. I re-did my husband's office last year and he absolutely loved the after (despite being apprehensive before).

The fabric is TDF (to die for)!

Love the inspiration and the direction you are going in... Yesterday's post made me laugh. I've been catching up today on all of the posts I missed this past week!
