When I registered for my wedding I went a little nuts with the scanning gun and added a few spur of the moment items that I thought were cool. One of those was this huge basket from Crate and Barrel and I am so happy I scanned it. It is one of my favorite things because it is so versatile and I can use it in just about any room in the house.
After seeing large baskets everywhere I started to keep a folder of images and I have collected quite a few. Here are just some of the many ways to use a large basket

I think they are great in any room. I've been dying to buy some plain woven baskets and then dip the bottoms in some paint. It's on my massive to-do list. Hopefully I will get around to it soon. :)
I love simple woven baskets so much! Hobby Lobby has similar baskets and I always get one when they go half off. They're perfect for everything, but I use them the most for storing my son's toys.
Love them too. Have a few in my house that I transfer from one room to the next. Great for magazines and blankets!
absolutely adore them, they go well pretty much anywhere and are very handy, great buys!
I have a woven basket on the floor in my bathroom that I keep all my white bath towels in. Rolled up, it looks good and it creates some additional storage.
Love them! I bought one on super sale 2 years ago and I've already used it in three rooms of my home!! They're so versatile!
I love baskets, and large ones are so great, as you have shown in these wonderful imgaes!!

We just got this exact same C&B basket, and will be using it for firewood soon when the weather turns chilly, I think baskets add a certain warmth and hominess to a room ~ Thanks for sharing all these beautiful images ~
I love the Crate and Barrel one too and plan on buying it for my fireplace wood. Love all the inspirational photos!

PS ~ am now following, as I just looked through your blog and think we have much in common :)
beautiful and very versatile! Great collection of images for this post!
I've been thinking about investing in the very same basket (thanks to some CB gift cards that I received for my wedding) so I love to here that you love yours!
Beautiful images!
You're so on the ball to have saved all the images of that big basket in them!! Have you decided which one you're going to use it for? I would love to store magazines in one!
Linds, this is such a great collection of images you've put together. My favorite are the ones where they use the basket as a planter. I'm thinking about wrapping one of my flower pots in twine in hopes it gives a similar look.
Your blog is so fun to read. Thank you!
Hurray for woven baskets! I picked one up from World Market the other day & use it to store throw blankets in my living room. Very clever of you to keep photos of baskets for inspiration!
There's a store here in Nashville that carries them in different sizes for 10$. Cheap I know.
Truly one of my favorite things. I have just one at home and want more, more, more. I'm probably breaking some rule here but I pretty much put one in every room I design!
