Scandinavian Love

I just received a copy of the new book Lars Bolander's Scandinavian Design and I'm smitten!

Before I read this book I didn't have a deep knowledge of Scandinavian style, I just knew that it was pretty and I really loved it. But after, I feel so much more appreciation for the beautiful designs and history!

The photos are outstanding in this book and it's total design porn at its finest. The clean lines, natural materials and open spaces of Scandinavian design are shown through the most beautiful large and colorful photos.

Lars Bolander certainly knows this style and even offers advice on how to get the Scandinavian look in your own home.  One of my favorite parts of this book is the section on Modern Danish Chairs.  It's an encyclopedia of sorts that highlights all those famous Danish chairs we see incorporated in so many designs (think egg chair deliciousness).
