Living Art

Its been awhile since I last updated about my upcoming wedding, I figured it was time to post some more of my inspiration.

While the planning has been going slow, ie we only have the date and place set, I have been doing a TON of research online and finding the most beautiful inspiration just about everywhere.

Flowers have been top on my list lately and my new favorite floral designer ink & peat has STUNNING designs.

I really want colorful and bright flowers with lots of texture and different shapes.  The flowers from ink & peat fit my wants to a T.  I am in love!

Questions for all brides out there, where did you / do you find the most inspiration for your weddings?

Style Me Pretty is the best wedding inspiration blog out there (you may be familiar with it already but I just thought I would pass on the link in case you aren't!) Good luck with all the planning!

They're all beautiful! That's going to be a tough decision. And I'll have to agree with Mary. Style Me Pretty has the best inspiration. I found almost all of mine there for my March wedding.
Have fun planning!

these are beautiful, i love the style. I found a florist through a bridal magazine here in the uk - every time his flowers were featured I just adored them so I went to visit him and he gave me so much inspiration and advice. Would love to be doing it all again - have fun! x

Wonderful, I love the yellow one. Inspiration for me, came from my very own Mom and her wedding. I guess I really wanted a simple yet elegant wedding and to have fun at my own party!
I kept the decisions simple and never made it a big deal. I did a lot of things myself and I wonder how I had the energy to walk down the aisle?
enjoy picking and taking time to smell the flowers!

I loved my florist (and her prices were very reasonable). If you need a recommendation for Boston let me know.

I love your inspiration photos!

Love the idea of succulents in a bouquet!
I used MS Weddings for a lot of my inspiration, but if I were getting married today, I'd be on FineStationery's Flickr page every day - you should check it out!

GORGEOUS. Love that you're going for interesting, colorful bouquets instead of the standard white or pink roses.

This is such a self-indulgent thought, but wouldn't it be wonderful if 5 of these bouquets showed up at your house each and every week?

For my inspiration I would google wedding photography and look at millions of pictures of other people's weddings. I was traveling a lot at the time so it was always cool when google would bring up the local photographers in the areas that I traveled too.

Those flower arangements are completely inspiring by themselves. Beautiful. -c

Oh wow, these arrangements are STUNNING!! So much color, texture and personality. Lovely.

Some advice, researching is SO IMPORTANT. Although it may feel like you're not doing anything, you're doing a lot. I made a scrapbook of my favorite magazine clippings. It helped out more than I can even begin to explain. Plus it make a great keepsake afterwards :)

Hope you have a wonderful week Love!

Oooh! I like these! You're right - color and texture, they're so pretty!

I looked at lots and lots of pictures of real weddings, and then followed links to different florists' sites, etc. Photographers' sites also have tons of inspiration! Not only for "looks" of pictures and poses, but colors, flowers, cakes. I think I kind of came up with a feeling that I wanted my wedding to have, and built around that. Hot pink mini-skirted dresses don't exactly jive with the feeling of vintage elegance... ;-)

I loved Style Me Pretty, Snippet and Ink, and of course Elizabeth Anne Designs.
