March to a different drummer

Those who know me know that I tend do things just a bit off or different then everyone else.

My wedding will be no exception.

At least it is my goal to make it as unique as I can on a small budget.  The colors in the room above would be fun.

Anyone have any different, unique or creative ideas?  please send them all my way- I would love you forever!

White with Black
Cream with Navy (that was mine)

We did ours for about $6000, so it's definitely possible. People still tell us how fun it was, so I'm guessing it really was or they wouldn't keep the charade up this long. :-)

It's amazing how much you can save if you are willing to do some things yourself, which I am sure you will be. A little creativity (and a lot of Craigslist and eBay) go a long way!! We even got our napkins imprinted from eBay. I refused to spend a lot on something people would wipe their mouths on and then throw away.

You're a pro at thinking outside the box, so your wedding is going to rock! And I'm a major wedding nerd, so if you want more specifics on what we did, just holler!

Can I please have this child. What a cutie pie. The room is cute too. LEB wedding! Are you ever going to reveal the BF's name? Or yours? What do we call him now? Fiance is too long.

That entire room screams fun! I don't know if this is "fun" to you, but I used vintage postcards as seating cards for our reception. You can see them here:

We planned our wedding in under 5 weeks and I custom designed my own wedding dress which was finished the day of the wedding. I used acid green silk that I had once used for a client's drapery for my dress. I look awful in white. The picture of me on my website will show you what the results were! More pics can be found on my facebook page too Linds.

I'm suprised your not using a peacock inspired color scheme! Have you seen it? So so pretty!

Congrats girl!

Great coloring, for photos and on a number of skin tones. I love when I see people using the Martha Stewart-inspired tissue paper pom-poms. So inexpensive, but done in a variety of colors and hung at different heights they look amazing!

I can't wait to see how everything progresses :) Congrats!

I agree with Sabbe--we need to name your fiance. Something Mr. Bigg'ish.

Have you found the Soiree by Tara Guerard website yet? Unreal.

Those are great summer colors!

I went to a wedding with different shaped tables - half were square, half were round, and it had a very cool effect.

We used a London taxi to take the two of us to the reception instead of a limo (there was a limo for the wedding party). Everyone was so surprised by it! There are loads of creative things you can do with flowers, too. On the cocktail tables I floated orchids in martini glasses, and instead of one centerpiece had three small ones in different shape and height vases.
