I saw The Graduate this weekend for the first time...I know I am so far behind I live under a rock. Anyway, I loved it and love Anne Bancroft and Katharine Ross, both of these women are too stunning for words. The movie is pretty risque for 1967 and has won numerous awards for the directing and acting. Basically if you have not seen it like me, go see it soon.
Like most movies I watch I notice the set design more than anything else. Sometimes I find myself missing the entire plot because I am caught up in seeing what this bedroom looks like or how that family room is set up. My favorite scenes in this movie were Mrs. Robinson's house and the Taft Hotel where Ben and Mrs. Robinson meet up. The Ambassador Hotel was the actual filming location, it was just made to look like the Taft Hotel.
Here is my Mrs Robinson and The Graduate inspired board
Happy Monday!

You've left me still under that rock. I've never seen The Graduate, but will take your recommendation! Great moodboard...speaking of which I'm giving away a Custom Moodboard on my blog this week.

Great job Linds! Love that movie but you did a great job on the board.
I love The Graduate! Isn't her leopard coat fab? I'm still trying to build up the courage to wear one!
Did you know that Anne Bancroft was only 5 years older than Dustin Hoffman when they filmed the movie? He was 30 and she was 35!
Amazing film!
I don't think I've ever seen it either, lol. Great post!
I love your board! You really captured the feel.
never watched it, now I definitely have to
I have never seen the movie but saw the play in NY several years ago. Great moodboard, what a fun post!
Black, white and leopard. What more could a girl need? Fabulous board.
I've never seen it either! I've heard about it, and I am totally dating myself here, but I remember when the Lemonheads remade the song in the early '90s.... but I've never truly seen it.
I'll have to watch it sometime!
I'm like you, though - always more interested in the set design!
Completely timeless - love that coat btw! KG

Sketch and Jenny- I know, I saw that last night when I was goggling about the movie- my boyfriend and I were totally shocked to see her age in this film.
I saw that ages ago - I think a friend who loves old movies made me watch it. The leopard jacket is smokin' but I def could not pull it off!
Love the board, really love the coat and the wallpaper! And the headboard. Okay, I love it all! Marija
Great board and now I want to see the movie (again)!
