Bring out the claws

Designers always say its the details that make a room.  Well I really love this detail.
Look close at the feet on the chairs in all these pictures.

I think I need one too.

Maybe this will help me to feel better about the clawfoot table I'm getting this weekend from my parents. . .If House Beautiful says it's okay, I guess it is :)

I'm not going to lie, those legs freak me out a little!

gonna say they creep me out just a tad. i don't totally hate them..just wary of them...like one should be when approaching a wild beast.

Totally fun. Love the zigzag one in the office. And the gallery wall.

I have to say, I'm not really a fan.

The claw feet don't bother me too much, it's the "elbows" on the back legs that I'm not super fond of. If the legs were straight, I would like them better.

So whimsically chic. Imagine a modern-day take on an Alice in Wonderland house!

I'm LOL b/c I agree w/ Rachel--it's the bent angle of the back legs that sort of scare the bejeezus out of me. Like they're ready to pounce.

I can't believe I didn't notice those chairs had claws!

I'm still on the fence over whether I like them or not.

Hmmm...

i love claw feet, especially when they are ornately carved with details on the nails, etc.! I am totally getting an ornate claw-footed bathtub someday!

Wow, those are some interesting chairs. I know the hubby would veto them, but it's nice to see them in other peoples' places.

I noticed these chairs in House Beautiful. I don't hate them, but I don't know if I like them! I know one thing, they would totally scare my boys!!! Hmmmm...now there's a thought! They would probably stay out of my bedroom...
