Furniture Frosting

I have a thing for nailheads. Maybe because they make recovering a chair super easy and pretty looking, or maybe its because I love a little bling bling on things. Either way here is a collection from my inspiration folder of lots of furniture and accessories with some nailhead detail.

when you say "easy" do you mean so easy a caveman coud do it, or easy for someone who sews and/or upholsters furniture? cuz i would fall into the caveman category! (big shout out to all my caveman peeps)

Great collection of inspirational pics!! I'm pondering wether to get a nailhead trim or fabric for the dining room chairs. What do you think? It'll only be visible from the side/back...

LOVE this post, Lindsay! I still have to get around to working on that chair of mine! I swear I'll do it, though :-)

So many of those images just became quick favorites! I recently saw the idea of useing nailheads to decorate pumpkins (instead of carving) and they look so cute. I'm thinking that would be easy autumn decor!

Jenny- you could totally do it, it is so easy a caveman could do it, that made me laugh just writing it :)

Y0u and me both honey!

Thanks for this post.

I pretty much have never met a piece of furniture with nailheads that I didn't like.

Sorry your weekend with Eddie and Jaithan got canceled.

What a fun post idea.

I love that you called it frosting. Reminds me of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days:)

Stephanie thats where I got it from! I love that movie and I say "frost me" all the time, so it just needed to be used for the title of this post :)

Great photos! There are so many I like, I can't pick just one. I had no idea that nailheads came in different shapes and colors. I love the cool blue ones.

I can't get enough of nailhead. It literally is what you said-furniture frosting.

that first picture is one of my nightmares- my upholsterer has the same thing (but real) on a big board (plus 10 million finish choices), and picking the nailheads to be used on a piece of furniture is almost always too overwhelming! i want him to do like i do with clients: "ok, here are your 3 choices. which one do you like best?"

nice post, and collection of images. ;-)

I am crazy about nail heads also. Thank you for providing all of those great images.

I want to put the Hanna Chair from Oly next to my sofa in living room. Check out my living room on my blog and let me know what you think. I am having a tough time making a decision.

Your blog is fantastic! Will be back for sure.

Thanks, Jamilyn
