Too much of a good thing...

I think I have a fabric problem. Every time I go to the store I come home with yards and yards of pretty fabric I think could possibly be a future project. Nothing specific in mind, just bolts of fabric to collect dust somewhere.

Like these two pretty things I came home with on Sunday

Now that I see them together on the chair, I'm kinda liking the color combo...maybe, just a little bit, who knows.

Since this chair is moving into my bedroom- maybe a headboard out of that patterned fabric would be a pretty change to my Kelly Green...hmmm now I have my brain working overtime.

Fun pattern. I love it! I have the same problem. I'm always dragging things home for future, not even thought of projects!

I see a slipcover in your near future! Don't worry...if this is a problem, we ALL have it! I do love that pattern!

I do the same thing! I love the fabric you found too.

Loving the fabric. Don't do what I do, roll it up and stick it in the closet for one day.

Love the fabric. I also love to see bolts of fabric in a desk or in a basket in someone's room. All the different colors make me think it's justified to buy tons of yardage that I haven't quite found the project for (right?)

I do the same thing with fabric. I am the worst. My husband will die if I bring home one more bolt.

That orange fretwork fabric would look killer on a headboard. I say go for it.

I am completely jealous... I can't ever find fabrics I like in real life. The ones I think I may like or may work are all "to the trade". Grr...

Love that pattern. Can't wait to see what you do with it. I agree, I tend to bring home things without a clue on where I will use them.

Looking forward to tomorrow night! I already need a glass of sangria and it's Tuesday!

Just think..you can redecorate anytime you get the urge and it will cost less and less every time ;)

I think that fabric would make a gorgeous headboard. Add some dark brown or navy and it would be gorgeous!

I likely! Especially the trellis-y looking one.

Try working at a fabric store for the last 10 years, with a really good discount!

Great fabrics! I especially love the patterned one. I have almost the same pattern wallpapered on our bedroom ceiling (in a beigy white), and it looks fabulous. If you're interested in seeing what it ended up looking like, i did a blog post about it this winter. :)

I have a fabric problem too - but it's a good problem isn't it!

Where did you find this?? I have such a hard time finding beautiful fabrics!

LindsB said...

Devon, yes I justified it for that reason too :)

Eleanor I found it at the fabric store Sewfisticated in Somerville MA- its in the Twin City Plaza if you are familiar with that. I love it there and always come home with something.
