Tres Chic Part II

So many of you were very kind and had such nice things to say about my last tray project that I decided to try another one.  To switch it up I picked a much harder design,  why not up the design ante right?

To recap, here is what both trays looked like before

and here is what my first tray project looked like

And latest tray creation...a gray and white David Hicks inspired design

I had some glass cut for this tray, and actually the zig zag one too.  Even though I used a protective lacquer spray, I just wanted that extra layer to protect all my hard work.  The glass works perfectly and makes the tray look finished.

I used the same technique as last time, just covered the tray in painters tape and cut out my pattern with an x-acto knife

 It's the perfect thing to use to carry drinks from the kitchen to the family room when guests are over

These tray projects are starting to become addictive! 

I obviously have a hard time passing up clearance aisle trays and boxes if you haven't noticed from all the projects I've been doing lately.   At least I'll have enough storage around my apartment.
