Finished Closet Score

Awhile back I posted about finding a bulletin board and frame stuffed away in a closet.  I finally got it out and with a few touch ups and a fresh coat of paint it's time for it to make a debut.

Lets start from the beginning, this is what it looked like when I pulled it out of the closet
the frame had twisted causing big gaps at the joints

nothing a little wood filler could not handle

all filled

after sanding it a bit to rough up the surface it got a fresh coat of my favorite paint, Benjamin Moore White Dove (OC-17)

I gave it two thin coats of paint for good coverage

I covered the cork board with new fabric- pink fabric to be exact- and once the frame was dry popped the pink cork board right back in.

After hanging up some of my favorite inspiration photos it now lives in my teeny, tiny office space leaning up against the window

I still have a few things to add to the board- but it will fill up in time

I'm so happy that I have pretty things to look at now

Great source of inspiration

Hope you all had a good weekend- it sure was a wet one here.  It continues to monsoon on this yucky Monday morning and I'm hoping it stops soon.  It would be nice if the sun would come out to dry everything up.

  21. Very cool! I also did a fabric bulletin board. Mine is black and white splotchy fabric... I wrapped the fabric around the edge of the frame and added nail heads to the cork.

  27. I love the pink and white combo. I recently brought some cute pink, black and white fabric because it was so cute. It matches nothing in the house, but I like your idea of the board, so I might do that with the office.
