Bring Some Color Indoors

It's gross and rainy here in Boston and although its Spring you would not know it from the bleak and colorless day we are having. I went shopping this weekend at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods and they had a beautiful selection of inexpensive flowers, a very easy way to bring some color indoors.

For less than $10 a bunch (and even some under $5 a bunch) here is some of the selection that is available these days:

Tulips

Daffodils

Hyacinth

Forsythia

Peach Blossom

If you are talented like the fabulous Eddie Ross arrangements like his are super simple to make. Take a look at some of his creations for your inspiration.
Happy Monday! (I know that's like an oxymoron, but I'm trying to be positive)

Love Some Bamboo

Attention Boston area bloggers- just saw these chairs posted on Craigslist and wanted to share. I wish I had room for them because they are beautiful, but I don't so I was hoping someone out there in blogland could use them.

No price listed, but go get them here

Some frosting for my desk

Since the beginning of the week Cassandra over on Coco+Kelly has been posting all these amazing style (e)scapes from other fabulous bloggers as part of a new styling series she will be doing . If you have not checked it out, you must; there are so many amazing ideas and inspirations to beg, borrow and steal from.

On Monday she posted this amazing desk from Melissa at Ruby Press and I fell head over heels in love!

This hot desk paired with my post on office spaces prompted me to get online and order up some chic new accessories for my desk at work. Not even 24 hours after I placed my order, these little beauties are sitting on my desk

I LOVE acrylic!!

This has now prompted a complete desk makeover! I'll be shopping in my closets at home and then hit up my favs Target, Marshalls and Homegoods to see what else I can come up with to style my desk at work.

Stay tuned because I'll post before and after pictures next week.

Have a great weekend!!

Let out your inner child

Today over at the Washington Post, there is an article on the actress Ali Wentworth's house. As I was flipping through the pictures I came across this wonderful craft room she created for her kids. I LOVE this, I would have died for a space like this when I was a kid. So much room to let young minds run wild and create anything they imagine.

She used an old extra large textile table she got at a flea market. Paired with the school chairs and the buckets of supplies I can only imagine the finger painting, crayon drawing and clay playing that goes on here.

Today I would still love for a craft space of my very own. One in particular that I love is because it belongs to the Queen of Crafts, the one and only Martha Stewart.

Of course it is completely organized and has a spot for every single tool known to man. It would be so nice to have a designated space just for sewing, just for paper crafts and just for painting. I die.

I need this!

Megan over on Beachbungalow8 posted about this vintage Greyhound sign from Paris Hotel Boutique

It is now sold- BOOOO- I MUST get one- does anyone out there know where there is another with Boston listed?

I would be eternally grateful!!

Loving This...Office Spaces

Thank you everyone for the get well wishes! I am much better today, not 100% but enough to get off the sofa and shower which is always a nice feeling.

Because I've been feeling so blah I needed some pretty eye candy- so I went through my files and found these beautiful desks from Domino and a few other places. Oh, how I wish I had an office space like one of these
Carrier and Co

Williams Sonoma Home

Amanda Nesbit- from Traditional Home

O at Home

Drew Barrymore's office as seen in Domino
Celerie Kemble's office from Domino
Cottage Living

To get me over that fact that I don't have a huge office area, I think I'm going to order some of these Lucite desk accessories that I blogged about before- I'm still in love with them. Or a Lucite tray from iomoi

What are your favorite office spaces and office accessories?

Under the Weather

I've been feeling crappy for the last two days and stuck in bed. I'm not a good sick person, this sucks.

Be back soon.

Give a little, take a little

The BF and I went shopping this weekend and picked out our new couch- yeah!! It was a warranty replacement so we had to go to the store that we originally purchased the couch at which is why we didn't have a ton of options for slipcovers. The final couch we chose was a little him and a little me- it has some leg showing, the "skirt" is not too girlie, but most important its a slipcover which is what i wanted forever. Overall I cant WAIT to get it in the family room- I think it will be the perfect change to make the room what I want.

PS- those are not the pillows we got, this is just a stock picture.
